Won Hundred Word Wednesday

February 11, 2015: Under normal circumstances he would speak his mind, but, with a gun against his head

Under normal circumstances he would speak his mind, but, with a gun against his head, he didn’t dare. In fact, careless tossing of words around may be what put him in this dire circumstance to begin with. Joshua was realizing one day too late, that maybe he should learn to keep his mouth shut. Nothing short of a gun to his head would’ve taught him that lesson anyway, so all in all, the events of this afternoon were likely inevitable. Too bad, it would’ve been the perfect day for a wedding. “Tosha will never forgive me” were his final thoughts.

February 18, 2015: The old photos made her conscious of her age, of how much time had passed

She hadn’t looked at these albums for years. The old photos made her conscious of her age, of how much time had passed. As she turned the page, an old photo dropped out. She picked it up and looked back at the face in the picture. She had forgotten that he had even existed. All that had happened seemed to belong to another life. Another person. As the memories began to surface she dropped the photo between the pages, and closed the book. She would simply refuse to remember. It was not worth remembering. She put the book on the shelf.
