January 21, 2015: Spider threads caught at her face, a sign that no-one had been there yet


     When they had agreed to meet 20 years from graduation night at the reception hall where the graduation party had been, they all had assumed that the reception hall would still be operating. They had assumed that the high school would still exist. They had assumed that the town would still be standing. They assumed that life as they knew it would be ticking on, counting off time comfortably. When Shelly found the shell of the reception hall she hoped to find her friends there. But spider threads caught at her face, a sign that no-one had been there yet.
