Won Hundred Word Wednesday

It seems more like 300 words every third Wednesday lately! Don't know why the weeks just disappear on me! Here they are!

December 31, 2014: The old house, with its wildly overgrown garden, was silent, secretive

The old house, with its wildly overgrown garden, was silent, secretive. From the bench on the East side, she could just see cracks and chunks of the outside through the vines.
The glass of the dome was thick and yellowed, but the motion was easy to pick up. The motion that never ended. She came out at night sometimes and the motion truly never ended out there. The flashing lights, the large motorized vehicles, the people, they must make sound. She imagined a lot of it. But in here, the old house, with its wildly overgrown garden, was silent, secretive.

January 7, 2015: She was carried along by the crowd

Eris had warned her. She had told her not to go out without her. She was tired of waiting to be ready by Eris’ standards. She was, after all, an adult, and was used to being treated as such. She had asked Sailor to come with her, but as she was carried along by the crowd, she lost sight of her. Her last view of her, she had been shoving, trying to reach her with a look of alarm. “Go back!” She had shouted at Sailor, “I’ll meet you at the house!” She was sure she could find her way.

January 14, 2015: She went to the toilet and on her way back,
opened the wrong door

“Why don’t you give Sarah and I some time to get to know each other?” Dr. Stevens had asked.
So, she went to the toilet and on her way back, opened the wrong door. There was a psychiatrist talking with a patient (not her daughter). The child in the room was crying. She apologized so quickly it was like she had spit it out, and with wide eyes, closed the door quickly. She stood in the hall a moment rubbing her forehead and staring at the ugly, durable, multihued carpet. Why was her mind always a million miles away lately?

Go see what the others have done!
