September 21 Prompt: Head high, she swept out of the room. Head even higher, she swept back in.

“What have you done that gives you the right to question my career goals? You never went to college, you work at a call center.”
Head high, she swept out of the room. Head even higher, she swept back in.
“And another thing,” but the look on Janet’s face said that she had already won the argument, and then some. “Oh, nevermind.”
She opened the door for Janet to leave.
Janet opened her mouth to say something, changed her mind and walked quickly away, her heels tapping on the concrete.
She knew the argument was about anything but career goals.

September 28 Prompt: She stood out from the crowd because

Jane wished she had looked at the books that Eris had provided about modern dress and conduct. She had not cared as she had left the house if her appearance had seemed antiquated. She stood out from the crowd because of her dress, and manner of carrying herself. She found that she disliked being stared at very much, and could not in her memory find a time that she had felt so out of place.
“Hey, a pioneer!” a small boy nearby commented to his mother. His mother smiled at him, but not at Jane.
     Perhaps she should go home.

Here are some others!
