Won-hundred Word Wednesday: A Christmas 3-fer!

December 10, 2014: As he fell, he waited for
As he fell, he waited for the air to be knocked out of him when he hit the deep cushion of snow. The snow layer at the north pole was far too deep to cause injury, Kris wasn’t worried about that. But this was the last straw for Donner. Kris had finally had enough! He’d been knocked out of his sleigh at least once a year since Donner had been hired. Maybe he’d have to give that glowing freak Rudolph a chance. He certainly wanted it bad enough. He finally hit the powder, and sunk a full one-mississippi before stopping.

December 17, 2014: She kept checking her phone and email, wishing someone would make contact
She kept checking her phone and email, wishing someone would make contact. Christmas was always a lonely season for her. She was happy at “Shady Grove” but she missed her family. She had honestly lost count of her grandkids and great grandkids. She thought there was around 35 put together. The great-great grandkids had already started. She missed having a tree, and stockings, even though there was decorations in the dining hall. What she would give to be remembered by even one. There was a timid knock on her door, “Grandma?” In walked grandkids until the room couldn’t hold anymore.

December 24, 2014: He didn't want to go out on such a night, but

He didn’t want to go out on such a night, but it was the only way to stop their infernal singing! After a two-week stint in the hospital due to tainted roast beast, the grinch had emerged with a new-found hatred for the Christmas season! Sure, there had been a moment there when he had thought he had felt something. A stirring, a growing of sorts. But that was all hogwash. Now, who would pay his medical bills? As he left his cave, on the north ridge, something attached to the wall caught his eye. “Paid in full” it said.
